MORTON J. SHUMAN, ESQ. is a graduate of Boston University College of Arts and Sciences and Boston University Law School. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1960. Following law school, he worked in New York City as a claims manager where he gained experience handling personal injury and workers’ compensation claims.
In 1967, he took a position as an attorney with a maritime law firm until 1977. In 1978, he joined the law firm of Ravech & Aronson, P.C. and in 1982, he was made a partner. The firm became Ravech, Aronson & Shuman, P.C. and he was the managing attorney. In 1995, Attorney Shuman opened his own law office in Framingham.
On April 7, 2016, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (MATA) awarded Mort Shuman with The James Garretson Advocacy Award “In recognition of his legacy throughout his career of putting the needs of clients and fellow attorneys first and his lifelong dedication to the civil justice system.”
